CHAS Elite Memer: The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme

Swirlforce Ltd is a CHAS (The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme) Elite Member.

CHAS-accredited suppliers are assessed every year to ensure they are operating to the highest health and safety standards. The accreditation also acts as a pre-qualification for tender purposes and is often a compulsory element for acceptance, especially for public organisations. CHAS is a sign of confidence and saves clients time carrying out their own health and safety competence checks.

Constructionline

Swirlforce is a Constructionline Gold Member. With enhanced pre-qualification and Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) assessments, a company can be awarded a ‘Deemed to Satisfy’ SSIP certificate for health and safety. Members are also put through numerous additional checks such as environmental management, quality management and equal opportunities, which are required for projects within the public sector. Constructionline membership acts as assurance to buyers when they are looking for a supplier.

SafeContractor

Swirlforce Ltd has been part of the SafeContractor scheme for several years. The SafeContractor scheme is a SSIP-approved health and safety assessment scheme for contractors who want to demonstrate that they’re taking responsibility for their legal health and safety requirements.

Dulux Connect

Swirlforce is part of the Dulux connect Partnership, meaning we are regularly audited. All commercial and industrial decorating partners have to meet or exceed the Dulux exacting standards in quality, service and sustainability, which all form part of health and safety.

PPG Trade Elite

Swirlforce is a member of PPG’s Trade Elite, which is an exclusive programme for the UK’s largest painting and decorating organisations. As one of the largest suppliers of decorative and performance coatings globally, PPG is well-known for supplying the Johnstone’s and Leyland trade paint brands. High-quality products contribute to meeting health and safety regulations.

CITB: Construction Industry Training Board

CITB is the Industry Training Board and a partner in the Sector Skills Council for the construction industry in England, Scotland and Wales. They work within industry to encourage training, which helps build a safe, professional and fully qualified workforce. By providing support and funding, they help companies to improve skills, increase their competitiveness and respond to challenges such as the low carbon agenda, reducing costs on site and recruiting the best talent for their sector. Swirforce has used and benefitted significantly from their training and apprenticeship programmes.

CQMS Safety Scheme

Swirlforce is a now a registered member of the CQMS Safety Schemes (SSIP) which is dedicated to promoting higher health and safety standards within the industry. Certification with CQMS Safety-Scheme ensures companies are assessed in accordance with the SSIP Core Criteria, an industry recognised standard, demonstrating compliance with UK health and safety standards.

Altius Accreditation

The Altius Accreditation offers ourselves a portal to demonstrate our Health and Safety competence to clients, whilst gaining a nationally recognised Health and Safety certificate from an SSIP Member Scheme
